Where do I make the approximations in this proton and electron collision problem?

0 votes

A proton moving with a velocity $\beta c$ collides with a stationary electron of mass $m$ and knocks it off at an angle $\theta$ with the incident direction. Show that the energy imparted to the electron is approximately $$T \approx \frac{2\beta^2 \cos^2\theta}{1-\beta^2\cos^2\theta}mc^2$$

How much of the calculation have you done? What result do you get? At what point are you having difficulty?
